Watts Fine Art to Open New Art Gallery in Zionsville, Indiana

Watts Fine Art (www.wattsfineart.com), the first art gallery in the Midwest to represent contemporary masters from around the country, will open on May 1, 2010, according to owners John and Shannon Watts of Zionsville, Indiana.

“Our goal is to become a destination for collectors throughout the Midwest,” said John Watts. “We have decided to make the leap from being art collectors to gallery owners. Our gallery will exist to support our artists and their art.”

Watts Fine Art represents living American artists who create exceptional paintings, sculpture and photography previously only available on the East and West Coasts and in the American Southwest. The gallery’s body of artwork, which includes figurativism, landscapes and still lifes, represents traditional and timeless American art.

“We want Watts Fine Art to serve as both a real and virtual destination for art lovers,” said Shannon Watts. “In addition, our goal is to support the Indiana arts community through giving and partnerships.”

Watts Fine Art is a major corporate sponsor of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art’s upcoming 2010 Quest for the West Art Show and Sale opening September 12. In addition, Watts Fine Art is a financial donor to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Indianapolis Art Center.
