Anderson Art Collective (http://www.andersonartcollective.com) opens its inaugural exhibition on Saturday, May 16th from 5pm until 9pm with the art and vibe of artists Ron Anderson (http://www.ronandersonart.com), Benjamin Anderson (http://benjaminanderson.com) and Sean Anderson (http://seananderson.com) in a collaborative show that benefits The Haven a non-profit school for under-privileged children in the township of St. Francis, South Africa. The new Santa Barbara art gallery is located at 410 Palm Avenue in Carpinteria, in the Henry Fish Seed Company building at the entrance to Carpinteria State Beach.
Its unusual enough to have a whole family of professional fine artists and still more unique to have them all in the same city. And now they have come together to start a fresh new contemporary art gallery that has grown out of meaning, not money.
Our gallery will focus mainly on the familys diverse offering of fine art paintings and mixed media creations but will also host invitational shows. Each show will donate 5% of sales to a chosen non-profit organization. The gallery is open three days a week, Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 1pm to 6pm or by appointment and we have a variety of events and activities that will be held in the space as well. This will be an interactive location, alive with things happening, different from the rather aloof contemporary gallery template,âEUR according to Susie Anderson.
We have an interactive aspect to this first show and we are asking guests to bring an object no bigger than their hand to contribute to the creation,âEUR notes Leigh-Anne Anderson. We invite art lovers to come, be part of the show and perhaps take an evening stroll along the beach.
