$5,000 Prize to Be Awarded for Celebrating Eco-Friendly Energy

The Scottsdale Artists’ School announced a call for entries for its Spark! Igniting the Power of Art event. The contest challenges artists to celebrate environmentally friendly energy resources through their respective medium.

“The School initiated this contest because we believe visual artists have the power to create an impact on the global efforts to conserve energy, focus on renewable resources and promote a clean environment through the universal language of art,” stated Robin McClea, CEO of Scottsdale Artists’ School.

The competition is open to all professional artists, 18 years and older. Entries must be received no later than March 20, 2009 and a $5,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winner. The fee for the first entry is $35, with each additional entry being $25. The School will present the cash prize award at its annual fundraising event, Saturday, April 18, 2009, where the winning entry will be on display. Tickets to the School’s fundraising event will be $100 and are available by calling (480) 990-1422.
