The Left Bank Art League (LBAL) Gallery, has undergone a huge transformation in the last few months. Thanks to the generous volunteers who make-up the League, the walls have been covered, paint has been applied and new artwork is moving-in.
Not only does the Gallery have a new appearance, the new hours are more visitor friendly. The Gallery is now open to the public Tuesdays-Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm and open until 7 pm on Fridays.
“I wanted to make the Gallery open for people visiting,” says Ellonyia Yenney, LBAL Gallery Manager. “With having Friday evening hours and open all day on Saturday, we want to encourage people to come down and see the works on display.”
The new works will be on rotation from March 4 until April 26, when a new rotation of art will be installed.
Featured for March/April are pieces by Artists Unlimited whose membership includes: Lanora Welzenbach, Janice Bybee, Joan Di Iulio, Dorothy Edelen, Wilma James, Naomi Lawrence, Charlie White, Ann Marie Williams and Jean Johnson. Also featured in the Gallery are works by: Dawn Brick, Judy Gray, Bonnie Grebner, Bob Maddox and Andi Naab.
Join LBAL for their next artist reception, 1629 2nd Avenue, Rock Island, Friday, March 14, from 7-9 pm for refreshments and to meet the artists. The LBAL is a non-profit organization that is committed to supporting, expanding, encouraging and furthering interest in the visual arts among its members and throughout the Greater Quad City Community.
