Darryl Alladice is an educator, urban poet and actor. His work has been produced at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Schomburg Center, Frederick Douglass Creative Arts Center, City College of New York. His poetry collections, Measuring in Liters and Jaundice, are hard-hitting and heartbreaking. He is a founding member of One Breath Rising, a jazz/arts collective.
Catherine Gigante-Brown is the author of the novels The El, 2012 and Different Drummer, 2015. She’s currently working on a musical version of Different Drummer. Her writing has appeared in Essence, HuffPo Women, Industry, and Ravishly.
440 Gallery is located at 440 Sixth Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, between 9th and 10th Streets, and is convenient to the F, G, and R subways. The gallery is open on Thursday and Friday, 4-7pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 11am – 7pm, or by appointment.
