Brooklyn, NY– Over the years, you’ve admired their paintings, drawings, photographs and wall sculptures during exhibitions at 440 Gallery. In less than two weeks, you are invited to visit them in their studio spaces: Ellen Chuse, Karen Gibbons, Katharine C. Hopkins, and Ella Yang will open their studios to the public during Gowanus Open Studios 2013 (GOS 2013), Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20, 12 noon – 6:00 PM. In the informal setting of their studios, you can ask them questions about their creative process, see works in progress, and maybe even find a piece to take home with you.
This event is an excellent opportunity for art lovers to see a diverse range of artwork. Over 200 active artists in the Gowanus neighborhood will be participating. Several Events are scheduled before and during the weekend, including a panel discussion on Collecting Art:101, and our very own Nancy Lunsford will be among the experts on the panel.
