Mani joins Heritage, the world’s largest auctioneer of coins, fine collectibles, jewelry and Art from the Sunset Estate Department of Bonhams & Butterfields Auctioneers in Los Angeles, where she was Director, Specialist and Auctioneer.

“Carolyn’s knowledge of the auction market and dedication to the business makes her a perfect fit for Heritage,” said Ed Beardsley, Managing Director and Vice President of The Department of Fine Arts at Heritage. “She’s client-oriented, market savvy and specializes in creating a high degree of trust and communication between buyer and seller. She has a proven track record managing and selling estates for many important names and we look forward to having heron the team.”

“It is a great opportunity for me to be able to help bring the Los Angeles community in touch with one of the most respected and fastest growing auction houses in the world,” said Mani. “I hope to bring buyers and sellers, and the option to promote and sell their collections, to an expanded audience worldwide.”

Mani will focus her work on covering the needs of West Coast collectors and consignors. She will be available by appointment to discuss consignment opportunities, collection management and de-accession of material for institutions.

As Director of the Sunset Estate Auction at Bonham’s for the past decade, Mani has a proven track record in working with large consignments and institutions in Hollywood and Southern California. During that 10 year span Mani also has provided auction services to numerous charities including Stars for a Cause, The LOOC foundation, Wheels for Humanity, The Beverly Hills Bar Association Barristers, The Chrysalis Foundation, Project Angel Food among the many.

“It is an exciting time in the auction world – the time is right to cater to a worldwide market and there are so many opportunities for expansion,” Mani said. “I hope to make important West coast estate property available to Heritage bidders all over the planet. The Heritage bidding model brings auctioneering from the 18th Century in to the 21st Century. It’s time to move forward.”
