The work of Warren, PA resident Cyril Jedor gives viewers a glimpse into the creative process of concept art.
Earning multiple degrees in 3D Animation, Graphic Communication and Web Design, and several awards for his work, Cyril provides a look behind the scenes to discover what goes into the making of animated movies, video games, and more. This unique exhibit offers viewers insight into the creative process of concept art, from brainstorming the landscape and characters to the final product.
Cyril discovered his love of drawing at six years old. This passion for art was nourished by a series of opportunities that came his way throughout his education. When he was about thirteen years old, Cyril spent a week at a graphic design / print shop, where he was introduced to equipment such as printing machines and cutting machines, which further piqued his interest in the arts. A few years later he had a week-long internship at a video game studio which turned into a summer job. Of that summer, Cyril recalls, “Everyone in the studio seemed to have a great time and that just reinforced my feelings of wanting to do this professionally.” Cyril’s favorite part of this creative process is the concept art phase of preproduction.
