Nadeau’s To Hold Annual Fall Americana, Folk Art, Chinese & Fine Art Auction

Nadeau’s Auction Gallery, one of the largest and fastest growing auction houses in New England, is excited to announce this signature sales event to take place on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 beginning at 10am EST at the company’s gallery. All items from the sale will be on display and available for in-person preview on October 21st from 12:00-4:00pm, October 22nd from 12:00-6:30pm, October 23rd from 12:00-5:00pm and October 24th from 9:00-10:00am or online anytime at Nadeau’s website, located at www.nadeausauction.com. For bidders who wish to participate in the sale remotely, they may do so via phone, absentee bids, or online through Invaluable, Bidsquare, or Liveauctioneers.

• Lot #300, an oil on canvas still life with a bowl of fruit from Mary Jane Peal (American, 1827-1902), is estimated at $15,000-$25,000. Today, Peal’s work is displayed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. This award-winning still life was exhibited at Schwarz, Philadelphia; Victor Spark, New York; and William J. Poplack, Birmingham, Michigan and was sold at Christies, New York on 11/29/2007 for $39,400.
