The Foundry Art Centre’s 13th annual fundraiser, is a special 1940’s USO-themed “Sky’s The Limit” Gala! All funds raised through the Gala will directly support the arts programming the Foundry Art Centre provides to the St. Charles community throughout the 2017-2018 events season. Celebrate the Foundry Art Centre’s mission to connect people with the Arts on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
The evening will feature 1940’s-era Big Band music, provided by the Sentimental Journey Dance Band, and plenty of dedicated dance space to jitterbug and foxtrot the night away. Attire is semi-formal; era costume and dress is encouraged!
Doors will open at 6:00pm. Guests can enjoy appetizers and drinks while perusing the excellent raffle and auction items provided by local and national vendors. Tickets for raffle items will be sold throughout the evening, and high-value items will be up for bids in the Silent Auction.
Local artists’ pieces featured in the “Friends of the Foundry” exhibition will be available for purchase in Gallery III. A seated dinner, catered by Quintessential, will be served at 7:00pm, followed by delicious desserts. After everyone’s appetite is sated, music and dancing will begin at 8:00pm. A brief ceremony will also be conducted to honor members of the community who have helped the Foundry Art Centre thrive for the last year.
