As he discovers moments of time alive with the beauty of the natural world, British photographer Alex Wright finds a transitory grace in the effects of the rising and setting sun on his scenes.
Within Wright’s exquisite landscapes the allure of the coast and countryside of south west England is dynamically revealed in a luminous richness of light and shadow. A powerful peace and tranquility emerges throughout these images, as the artist captures fleeting seconds of spiritual and emotional wonder. Wright’s photos are produced in a large scale, horizontal format as archival digital pigment prints on fine art paper in limited editions of twenty-five.
Born in England in the southern coastal town of Bournemouth, Wright now lives on the edge of the New Forest National Park in the small town of Fordingbridge. He studied at the Salisbury College of Art and has spent much of his professional career working in technical, industrial, and PR photography, bringing to his fine art photography the lessons learned in those fields.
