Swiss artist Isabelle Habegger in Unbound Perspectives

Isabelle Habegger’s work draws its inspiration as much from her inner world as it does from her love of nature and her interest in what is happening around her. Those inner and outer worlds meet in paintings that combine a dreamlike aura with an intense color palette.

Working in acrylics, pigment and resin, the artist creates images that she says are often abstract and symbolic, but which also have a strongly physical feeling. A born experimenter, Habegger employs a wide range of painting techniques — from patterns made out of a series of short, swift strokes to delicately placed areas of color which have the softness of clouds. Diversity in the way she applies her paints is just part of what gives Habegger’s canvases their depth and texture. She also orchestrates the colors in her images masterfully, juxtaposing bright shades and dark ones to create a feeling of space and different layers. There is a sense of light coming from within that animates these images, making each come fully alive.

Isabelle Habegger lives and works in Wollerau, Switzerland.

About the Exhibition
The artwork in Persistence of Form abounds with an enticingly lively sense of movement and energy which both reaches out to the audience and encourages us to dive into the art and go along for the ride. The pieces display personality and individual concerns, yet also possess a universal awareness that connects them to the shared experience of being human. The artists in Unbound Perspectives present their unique vision of existence and reality through works which are compelling and thoroughly creative in their insistence on leaving behind accepted boundaries and striking boldly out into new ground. In Divine Stardom: Lady Gioconda / a Solo Exhibition the artist presents work which combines harmony and a sense of stylistic diversity, for a surprisingly spiritual, and spirited, effect.

The exhibitions begin on November 22, 2013 and continue until December 13, 2013. The opening reception is on the evening of Thursday December 5, 2013. Entrance is free and art lovers are warmly invited to attend.
