The Venice Biennale (Italian: Biennale de Venezia) is a major contemporary art exhibition that takes place once every two years in Venice, Italy. The Biennale Festival includes art, architecture, cinema, music, theatre and dance. This highly coveted event brings over 440,000 visitors from around the globe and 89 countries. At the 2011 Biennale, the show featured 83 artists of whom 62 were participating for the first time, and 32 women artists.
Emma Ferreira will bring her exhibit to the world famous Hotel Danieli from June 1 to November 24, 2013. The artist’s latest work will demonstrate her unique form of art called of Layerism and Translayerism, which creatively layers mixed media images into one art form.
