¡CityArts! Holds Art Blossoms Gala Fundraiser to Support Free Urban Arts Education

Providence ¡CityArts! for Youth invites the public to its annual ¡CityArts! Art Blossoms Gala Fundraiser to be held Thursday, May 2, 6-9 PM at the Providence Art Club in Providence, RI. All proceeds from this event benefit ¡CityArts!’s free afterschool arts education programs for urban at-risk youth in Providence.

Event tickets are $65 if purchase by April 27, $75 if purchased after. Patron Donor packages include two tickets and special donor recognition, and are available for $200. Tickets can be purchased online at http://ow.ly/jrtFs or by calling 401-941-0795 x 104.

Art Blossoms features raffles and live and silent auctions of original artwork, theme packages, and more. Previous years’ auctioned items include a weeklong stay at Sugarloaf, gift certificates to Loie Fuller, Gracie’s, and Pastiche, and a family membership to the RISD museum. ¡CityArts! teaching artists and young artists will run art-making demonstration tables, where guests can get a taste of what goes on in ¡CityArts! classes. ¡CityArts! will present the 3rd annual Sister Ann Keefe Award for Creativity and Social Justice, an award honoring those who use creativity to inspire positive social change.

An Art Blossoms ticket includes fine fare catered by the Providence Art Club and free valet parking on-site. A cash bar will be open all night. Over 150 guests are anticipated for this festive and artful affair in celebration of CityArts blossoming youth.

Providence ¡CityArts! for Youth is a community arts organization with a mission to provide free professional arts education to Providence youth between ages 8-14. ¡CityArts! serves over 1200 youth in afterschool and summer arts programs citywide, offering meaningful learning experiences in visual art and design, performing arts, and creative writing.
