13th Annual Boston Print Fair and AD 20/21 Combine Again for Fourth Year

The producers of the 13th Annual Boston Print Fair are pleased to announce that once again the print fair will be part of AD 20/21: Art & Design of the 20th & 21st Centuries, March 15-18, 20121, at The Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts in Boston’s South End.

The Print Fair features dealers in fine prints, drawings, photography and other works on paper. AD 20/21 features modern to contemporary furniture, glass, ceramics and decorative arts alongside a wide array of fine art. The show’s producers are also pleased to announce that internationally-recognized interior designer Vicente Wolf will be the show’s special guest and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient for 2012. For show and exhibitor information, call 617-363-0405 or visit www.BostonPrintfair.com or www.AD2021.com.

The show opens Thursday, March 15, with a Gala Preview from 5:30-8:30pm, with all proceeds benefiting Boston Architectural College (BAC), New England’s largest independent, accredited college of spatial design. Last year’s Gala was attended by more than 600 people and raised over $100,000 for the BAC. The show continues Friday, March 16 from 1-9pm, Saturday, March 17 from 11am-8pm, and Sunday March 18 from 11am-5pm. Weekend admission is $15, under 12 free, and includes a complimentary color show catalog, admission to all special programs at the fair. Valet and discount parking is available, and the show café is catered by Jules Catering.

“Combining AD 20/21 and the Boston Print Fair has been tremendously successful in generating buyers for exhibitors across the spectrum,” comments Tony Fusco. ” We are introducing traditional art patrons as well as a new, sophisticated, design-conscious audience to the world of prints. Also, the BAC’s enthusiasm and tremendous networks means the show is packed with interior designers, architects, art collectors, design enthusiasts, and others looking for a fresh perspective on collecting and on furnishing their homes.”

Launched in 2008, AD 20/21 has captured the public’s imagination and made a mark for itself on the Boston show scene. The only show of its kind in New England, it features fine art and design in all disciplines representing major design movements of the 20th century. Notably, the show also includes outstanding 21st century fine art, prints, studio furniture, glass, ceramics, decorative arts, jewelry, photography, and more, bridging the gap between historical styles and contemporary works, and deepening collectors’ appreciation for both.

The Cyclorama provides the ideal venue for this exciting show. Built in 1884 to house an enormous panorama painting (a “cyclorama”) of the Battle of Gettysburg, the large circular rotunda and adjacent salons encourage visitors to both linger and wander throughout the show. The historic structure is the heart of the Boston Center for the Arts complex, which boasts four theatres, a gallery, the Boston Ballet School, 50 artist studios and other facilities. There are more than a dozen “hot” restaurants and nightspots within a five-minute walk, making it a focal point for cultural life in the city.

Exhibitor applications are now being accepted for the 2012 Boston Print Fair and AD20/21 show. Call Fusco & Four at 617-363-0405.

The Cyclorama has become a mecca in Boston for the arts, and is also the location for Fusco & Four’s annual Boston International Fine Art Show (BIFAS), which has been running for 15 years. Fusco & Four also re-launched the Ellis Boston Antiques Show at The Cyclorama in October 2011. For more information on all three shows, visit www.BostonArtFairs.com.
