MiArt 2011 April 8–11

A hundred galleries, the top international artists, one hall, four days of fair. After two years of excellent results, both in terms of business and of participants, MiArt 2011 sets its sights on excellence in the art system, by making a further selection of galleries, presenting itself to the market and the public as one single fair hosting Italy’s most important galleries.

Scheduled from 8th to 11th April 2011 (inauguration, invitation only, on Thursday 7th April and late opening until 9 pm on Saturday) MiArt 2011 will be concentrated in one single hall (Hall 3, fieramilanocity, viale Scarampo, Porta Teodorico). The galleries invited to take part will be placed close to similar collections and according to their period—historic, contemporary and young artists – to achieve a comprehensive vision of the international artistic scene.

“The excellent results of the last two editions, when we aimed at quality, confirm the need for an ever more selective fair, where only the most professional, prestigious and authoritative galleries are invited to represent Italian and international artists and works from the early 20th century until today,” points out Michele Perini, President, Fiera Milano Spa. He adds: “This is why MiArt has decided to give the fair a very distinctive nature, hosting the best Italian galleries that represent the best international artists.”
