Veronique Scorer joins Bonhams as Director of the Knightsbridge Picture Department on 1st September.
Veronique worked for Sotheby’s for fifteen years, where she was a Deputy Director. She ran the 19th Century Picture Department at Olympia and was latterly Head of 19th Century mid-season sales at Bond Street. She spent a year working for the Royal Collection in the early 1990s before joining Sotheby’s, initially as an archivist, and then as a picture cataloguer covering 19th Century Paintings, Impressionist, Modern British and Contemporary sales.
Commenting on her appointment, Caroline Oliphant, Director of the Bonhams Picture Department, says: “Veronique brings with her a wealth of experience, and the breadth of her knowledge will be ideally suited to the variety of the Knightsbridge sales. We are very happy to welcome her to the Bonhams Picture Department.”
Veronique adds “I am very excited about joining Bonhams and am really looking forward to being part of the team at Knightsbridge”.
