Art Couture Gallery collaborated with Pappas Bros. Steakhouse with a silent auction on July 19, 2009 – benefiting Dallas Cowboys scouting assistant Rich Behm, who was paralyzed from the waist down during a severe storm in May.
Three hundred fine art canvases, one for each guest that attended the charity event received a small limited edition print titled, “Celebration of Freedom” by a renowned Iranian artist – Reza Sepahdari. This particular piece is one of the five prominent pieces that was chosen by the United Nations in an effort to promote peace throughout the world. The painting depicts important ancient themes of Persian rule: religious tolerance, abolishment of slavery, freedom of choice of profession, and expansion of the empire. Art Couture Gallery is currently exhibiting “Celebration of Freedom” along with more of Sepahdari’s expressionistic artwork. His work is available as fine art limited edition prints as well as originals.
Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is known to host grandeur, red-carpet style events. The charity event for Rich Behm was a huge success in which guests were invited to dine with the Dallas Cowboys celebrity athletes. The reception afterwards was filled sponsors and fans alike supporting the cause. Art Couture Gallery is proud to be one of the participating sponsors along with Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, American Airlines, Bachendorf’s, Dale Hansen and Joe Averzzano during the silent auction ceremony. Art Couture Gallery donated three exquisite fine art pieces that were auctioned during the event: “Road Less Traveled” by artist Jeff St. John, “Harley Davidson Fat Boy” by artist Andrea del Pesco of Italy, and “In Your Hands” by artist John Marin. A ‘bidding war’ of Marin’s piece made it as the most popular piece of the evening. All proceeds from the auction were donated to directly the Rich Behm Family Trust Fund.
These limited editions are under licensed contract with the artists and Art Couture Gallery has the exclusive in the Dallas area. Art Couture Gallery was proud to participate in the event and wishes Rich Behm and his family all the very best.
