In 2008 Cabrini Health, one of the largest private health services in Australia, celebrated its 60th anniversary.
To recognise this event, and to assist in raising much needed funds for a continued commitment to providing exceptional care, Bonhams & Goodman organised Masterpieces of Modern Australian Art, a major art exhibition which acknowledged the achievements of some of Australia’s most outstanding artists. This exhibition was hugely successful.
Our second exhibition in the series, Masterpieces of Australian Impressionism, assembles renowned icons of Australian Impressionism from private collections throughout Australia.
These prized paintings will be reunited with companion works that in many instances have not been shown together since they were first created. Several paintings have not been seen by the public for many decades and in some instances for more than a century.
On behalf of Cabrini Health and Bonhams & Goodman, I would like to warmly acknowledge the support of all lenders to this major exhibition; not only for their willingness to share with us exceptional examples of Australian art, but for their generosity in responding to the spirit of this important project.
