MOSAICS Fine Art Festival Announces Strategic Partnership With Art Unleashed

The 24th Annual MOSAICS Fine Art Festival is taking place the weekend of September 14-16, 2018 in Historic St. Charles, Missouri. Approximately 90 juried and invited artists will display and sell their works of art at this annual Arts Festival, which is a family-friendly weekend event with activities for everyone – including fantastic art, great entertainment and the opportunity for children to create their own artwork.

As a part of the Festival’s commitment to enhancing the arts educational experiences in the St. Charles County, the MOSAICS Fine Art Festival Board announces a strategic partnership with Chesterfield-based community arts organization Art Unleashed, to provide the instructors and develop the activities for the Children’s Village area – a family-friendly place where kids of all ages can create their own work of art.

Art Unleashed is a non-profit art organization dedicated to enriching the lives of students by providing art classes, camps and workshops for all ages and abilities that allow students to discover and enhance their creative side. Their art instructors have over 100 years of combined teaching experience, with qualifications that include Missouri K-12 Art Education certification, master’s degrees in Art Therapy, Special Education, Art Education and higher education instruction.

According to the organization’s Director of Education Jenny Donaldson, “Art Unleashed is proud to work with community arts organizations such as the MOSAICS Fine Art Festival, in order to make art accessible to everyone.”

Commenting on this strategic partnership, MOSAICS Board President Richard Baum notes, “We are excited to bring in another non-profit community arts organization like Art Unleashed to lead the art educational activities at the Children’s Village area at the MOSAICS Fine Art Festival this year. This strategic partnership will assist our organization in bringing quality arts and education opportunities to the St. Charles community.”

Along with the Children’s Village area, the annual MOSAICS Festival supports community-based art education and activities for St. Louis area youth, including the Mentor Me school art program and exhibition, hosted by the Foundry Art Centre (located within one block of the MOSAICS Festival); and the Art for Youth Gallery program, which allows children to purchase professional art at a nominal fee, fostering art appreciation among the kids 14 years and younger.
