Now in its 36th year, the highly anticipated 2016 Annual Art Exhibition and Auction offers unique opportunities for art enthusiasts and collectors to view and acquire contemporary artwork by rising stars and celebrated artists whose work reflects vibrant, eclectic styles and interests.
The Art Auction Exhibition, which runs from September 24 to October 22, will feature works by Bay Area-based, national and international artists. A Silent Auction and Party will take place on Saturday, October 8, 5pm – 8pm, and a Live Auction Gala will be held on Saturday, October 22, 6pm – 11pm.
The selection of work in the exhibition reflects the ICA’s continued commitment to including nationally and internationally recognized artists in its exhibition program. Held in a sophisticated gallery setting with a professional auctioneer, Silent and Live Auction guests actively bid on a wide range of work including paintings, photography, works on paper, sculpture, and mixed media pieces by nearly 200 artists.
