Openartcollection.com, the New York based pioneer in virtual collectors’ networks and online art fairs has announced they will be hosting the virtual version of the (e)merge art fair in Washington DC (September 22-25). The (e)merge art fair is a new, vetted art fair focused on emerging artists and galleries with emerging art. The (e)merge art fair is the very first virtual art fair in the USA based on a physical fair, making the world of American art much easier for global collectors and art lovers to connect with.

Following hot on the heels of several successfully hosted virtual art fairs in Europe and Asia, Openartcollection.com have recently announced that they will be presenting the (e)merge art fair based in Washington DC as a virtual fair, corresponding with the real world fair. This makes the (e)merge art fair the first in the US to be available in both a physical and digital format.
Nathalie Haveman, co-founder of Openartcollection.com tells us that, “We are really very excited to be expanding in the USA. Our European virtual art fairs have been well received, and the feedback we have been given by visitors to both the virtual fair and the physical version is very positive. We believe we have something of great value to offer to our global community of collectors and art lovers, and the virtual (e)merge art fair will no doubt be as successful as our previous presentations.”
The virtual edition of the (e)merge art fair will open a day before the physical fair. This early opening allows virtual visitors to preview the exhibition, and gain information on potentially interesting works of art before they attend the physical fair. For those people who cannot make the journey to DC, then they may continue to view all works and purchase art via the virtual fair once the physical fair is under way. Helen Allen, co-founder of the (e)merge art fair, “We are very pleased that we have joined forces with openartcollection.com and can be the first to launch this initiative in the US.”
The virtual (e)merge art fair will remain open for 30 days after the physical version closes. This enables art lovers to continue to view the works displayed at the original fair, and to make purchases after the fair has closed.
Access to the virtual (e)merge art fair on www.openartcollection.com is a free of charge. However, to be able to access any information about each piece of art, including the selling price, and to actually make a purchase, the site visitor does need to have a paid membership.
