“I Was There,” is a photographic exhibition by four Seville-based photographers at Kavachnina Contemporary on view through August 1st, 2011.
The photographers, David Palacin, Pepe Moran, Rafaela Rodriguez and Estela Garcia were selected by Salustiano, the curator for this photo exhibition.

Estela Garcia, series of photographs are carefully crafted using materials and objects to create a new invented moment or people. Garcia uses the old school technique processing negatives (6x7cm) and applying color.
Rafaela Rodriguez was born in Palma del Rio, Cordoba. She has been a Seville resident for the last 35 years. In her photographs, Rodriguez shows how the stillness of dawn pervades the rivers and waters she uses to recreate a serene and peaceful atmosphere with those earthly elements.
Pepe Moran, an experienced photographer who first exhibited in Sevilla in 1998, has had a long career in the advertising industry, photographing famous people, cities and architectural buildings throughout Spain.
David Palacin photographs titled “Yo Estuve alli,” or “I Was There” narrate the memories of an early winter morning in a desolate place where distinct men reveal their presence through their contemplative eyes demonstrating what the artist says is a single powerful word: humanity.
