Susan Bergstrom Exhibition at the ost City Museum

Listening to the Spirits an exhibit by local Mesquite artist, photographer and instructor Susan Bergstrom, will be on display at the Lost City Museum during the month of November. The exhibit features a collection of Bergstrom’s fine art paintings, drawings and photography.

The show will run from November 4 through November 28, 2010. An evening reception will be held, Saturday November 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Those interested in attending this reception/auction please contact the museum at 702-397-2193.

Susan and her husband Russ moved to Mesquite, Nevada in 2001 and within a few months Susan had her classes and studio set up in her garage, to further develop into a full, working studio. She has also taught art and design at the Community College of Arizona and at the Community College of Southern Nevada.

Bergstrom now teaches privately and does commissioned pieces through her working studio in Scenic, Arizona.

Susan Bergstrom is a self taught artist; with the help of her grandmother and great grandmother, her paintings have developed into the western style that depicts her interpretation of the cowboy life, the Native American culture and the endless landscapes and colors of the Southwest.

“My photography has always been my mobile canvas. I teach my students amateur photography so they will always have inspiration,” said Bergstrom. “My camera is my constant companion.”
