The inaugural show, housed in a 10,000 sqft disused dairy near to Frieze Art Fair, will present London’s first and only collection of art by artists working outside the mainstream, including seminal examples of what is known as self-taught, outsider, mediumistic, vernacular, folk and visionary art, as well as classic works by art brut, art therapy and anonymous folkloristic artists.

The Museum of Everything will present an unparalleled / unrivalled setting for visitors to engage with an exceptional body of work chosen by a select group of artists, curators, and cultural figures.

Contributors include Hans Ulrich Obrist, Annette Messager, Karin Mamma Andersson, Bob and Roberta Smith, Eva Rothschild , Ed Ruscha and Tal R, amongst others. Each will present an artist or artworks that have inspired their practice – including Henry Darger’s epic narratives of a fictionalised childhood, the heroic flying machines of butcher Charles Dellschau, London-born Madge Gill’s spirit‐led drawings, the metallic healing mobiles of Emery Blagdon and the ceramic soldiers of Nek Chand.

From janitors to jailbirds, miners to musicians, plumbers to priests – The Museum of Everything will introduce new audiences to the exceptional/astonishing nature of these challenging and compelling art works that have influenced so many, but been spoken of by so few.
