As he paints the strength and wonder of a world long past, Mario Agredano’s art brings to life images of history and mythology in epic tableaux of power and triumph.
Inspired by the works of Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and Leonardo Da Vinci, Agredano focuses on the visual complexity of his scenes, placing much of his emphasis on the perfection of his human forms. The artist’s luminous use of pigment is strikingly bold, infusing his paintings with a dynamic vitality as he captures the heroic struggles and confidence of his subjects. Agredano works in acrylic paints on a variety of surfaces including board, canvas and paper, pairing his skilled sense of line and drawing with a rich depth of color.
Born in Mexico City and now living in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mario Agredano has exhibited throughout Mexico, Italy, and the United States. Self-taught as a painter and a passionate historical scholar, he found his creative spirit fueled by his travels through Italy, experiencing ancient artifacts and culture while visiting Rome, Florence and Pompeii.

The gallery publishes ARTisSpectrum Magazine, a bi-annual magazine that is distributed to museums, galleries, art institutions and art schools around the world. It provides artists, collectors, museums, galleries, art organizations and enthusiasts with access to the work of international talented artists as well as feature articles, reviews and interviews.
