ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Fraser Leonard Fine Art Gallery – representing “Art for Your Spirit and Your Life” – announces the Gallery’s Spring Art Exhibit. The Gallery, established in 2011, is located at 3611 Schutzen Street in New Melle, Missouri. Wine Tasting & Reception to take place March 24, 2012
The Spring Art Exhibit will showcase award-winning contemporary artist Fraser Leonard and his latest collection of contemporary fine art paintings and sculpture. This eclectic collection of Fraser Leonard’s diverse body of work is described by the artist as an “intuitive” show, representing his creative sensibility and multi-faceted talent. “I’ve selected these pieces to represent what I feel is an abstraction of the signs of our time,” notes Fraser Leonard.
Commenting on one of the featured works – titled Immortal Dimensions – Leonard notes, “Immortal Dimensions to me is a doorway to the other side, Heaven, and the light comes from there. A stepping stone. The power that comes from this painting.”
Within the pieces featured in his Spring Art Exhibit, the full range of Fraser Leonard’s artistic technique is represented. Leonard adds, “I’ve painted it, carved it, welded it and melted it using a wide variety of materials, allowing each of the mediums to take on an exciting life of their own.”
In conjunction with the Spring Art Exhibit, Fraser Leonard Fine Art Gallery will be hosting a Wine Tasting & Reception on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the Gallery. The wine tasting will be courtesy of TasteVino Selections, featuring unique wines from South America – www.tastevinoselections.com. Fraser Leonard will be available for personalized tours of his newest works of art, and light refreshments will be served during the wine tasting and reception.
Fraser Leonard’s artistic point of view is uplifting and fun, and his works of art are truly Art for Your Spirit and Your Life. He also creates metal sculptures that are 3-dimentional, and many are wall hangings suitable for both residential and corporate settings. While many of his artistic creations will be on display within his new Gallery space during the Spring Art Exhibit, most of his work can also be viewed at www.fraserleonard.com.
“Whether I am painting landscapes, impressionistic or pure abstract design, my large brush strokes reveal expressions of energy, light, balance and contrast. These attributes of nature are emphasized by bold and soft hues smashing into one another on the canvas. As a sculptor and a painter, my work is a spontaneous response to my surroundings; it is unencumbered and intuitive”, notes Leonard.
Fraser Leonard Fine Art Gallery is open each Thursday, Friday and Saturday and by appointment. The regular hours of operation are:
• Fridays – 12:00 Noon – 6:30 pm
• Saturdays – 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
The Gallery is located just a few yards south of the intersection of Highways D and F, across the street from the U.S. Post Office and the New Melle City Hall and Police Station. The Gallery is marked by signage just off Highway D.
