The Musée du Quai Branly has announced the third edition of Photoquai, the world photography biennial, to be held from 13 September to 11 November 2011.

The exhibition will be hosted on the banks of the Seine and in the gardens of the Musée. Approximately four hundred pictures by photographers from twenty-nine different countries including South-Africa, Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Morocco, Tunisia, Bahrain, Iraq, Byelorussia, Russia, China, Korea, India, Japan, Taiwan, Cuba, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New-Zealand, Chile, Colombia and Brazil will be on display.
The goal of Photoquai is to help emerging artists become famous by presenting their creative approach. This photography exhibition was initiated by Françoise Huguier, photographer and film-maker, as well as various museums and institutions such as the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Maison de l’Amérique Latine, Galerie Baudoin Lebon, Polka Galerie, Galerie Paris-Beijing, Galerie In camera, the Eiffel Tower and the Petit Palais.
