Through Observation: Paintings by Ann Marie Magenau is on view at the Erie Art Museum Frame Shop, 423 State Street, from April 30, 2010-July 24, 2010. A public opening reception will be held during Gallery Night on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 7-10 p.m.
About the Exhibition
“Through Observation” displays Fairview artist Ann Magenau’s journeys from observation through ending. Through her works, she hopes to share the compositional process, a non-linear transformation in which she uses her subjects as a point of departure. She allows the paint and process to take her where it wills instead of having a predetermined destination.
