Ditto Gallery Opens in February

Denver, CO – GRI Studios is proud to announce the opening of latest venture, Ditto Gallery. Located in the Golden Triangle Museum District, Ditto Gallery showcases a diverse selection of local and international artist originals in a relaxed environment. With the use of superior digital technologies and 8+ years of reproduction experience, Ditto produces high-end art reproduction on canvas, art papers, and posters, making art affordable for art enthusiasts of all experience levels.

Ditto Gallery is pleased to open their doors to the Denver community for their gallery opening reception on February 1st between 6:00 pm-9:00 pm. “Ditto Gallery focuses on emerging artists and affordable art through digital fine art reproduction and distribution,” states GRI Studios President, Jeff Smith. “Our gallery opening reception features four incredible merging artists from Mexico to Boulder, showing some of their latest works, as well as displaying more pieces from their available portfolio on Ditto’s Digi-Canvas. We are especially eager to introduce Denver to Mexican artist Raul Hernanez Andujo, whose work has been praised throughout Europe and Latin America.”

The artists include Raul Andujo, Robert Martinez , Dr. Peter Berndt, and Joanne Neal-Berndt.

Raul Hernandez Andujo is a young artist from Chihuahua, Chih., Mexico. He is bringing his “chromatic composition of elements” to Ditto Gallery. His work has been seen in the Biennale International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Florence, Italy, the XVI Premio Firenze, “Homage to Mario Conti” Sezoni Arte Visive, Florence Italy and the Museum of Poliforium in Mexico City. He has also shown at the Casa Siglo XIX, Museum of Sebastian, Chihuahua, Mexico. “I believe in what I feel and see to create something from nothing. I search for my perception of life and the excesses of maturity, and believe in the divine inspiration from God for my creation” Raul’s work undergoes transformations. He challenges himself to articulate through painting his particular visions.

Robert Martinez is a Denver artist and a humble man with a love for vibrant, bold colors. His affinity for Fritz Scholder, Malcom Furlow and John Nieto is clearly seen in his Native American braves’ paintings. “I paint what I am inspired to paint. The images I paint are based in a large part on the people I met growing up. We visited family and friends on the Pueblos for Feast Days and ceremonies. The Penitentes, the Church, the Valley, the whole experience of growing up in the San Luis Valley of Colorado and New Mexico”.

Dr. Peter Berndt is a visual artist with classical art school training from Boulder, CO. His primary focus is figuration, and color and shape. His exhibit will include the delightful and playful painting entitled “Thank you Mr. Klee”, rendered in ink and egg tempera. His paintings and drawings are in collections in France, Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado and Texas. He has a private psychiatric practice in Denver.

Joanne Neal-Berndt grew up in San Antonio Texas with a B.S. in Fashion Design. Her paintings reflect her experience working with slate, marble, granite, limestone stucco and copper when she later worked remodeling historic homes in Georgetown and Evergreen, CO, Dallas and San Antonio, Texas. Her paintings exhibit the surface of these themes especially as they respond to the forces of nature over time. In addition to Ditto, Joanne shows in Dallas, Santa Fe and Boulder.

Denver’s own GRI Studios has been digitally printing art and media since 1999. After immense recognition for quality, they’ve decided to showcase work through this gallery venue. The true advantage of Ditto gallery is “Art-on-Demand”. We exhibit originals and Giclées, of which all pieces are reproducible. Art buyers of all ages and levels can find appealing art within their budget.
