Oliver Jackson is a painter, sculptor, printmaker, and draftsman whose work is grounded in figuration.

The ICA is committed to presenting the work of under-recognized, mid-late career artists who have an incredible body of work but have dedicated themselves to their studio practice and teaching career with little attention to self-promotion. Oliver Jackson is one of the Bay Area’s most prolific artists working in a wide range of mediums. While his work is included in significant collections around the nation, outside the art world, he remains virtually unknown. We are very excited to shed light on this Bay Area gem who, at the age of 81, continues to create work in his Oakland studio.
