Nicole Murphy to Host Maxwell Dickson’s Art, Libations & Sounds Exhibition
On Thursday, February 9th, 2012 from 7pm to 11pm, at Downtown Los Angeles’ Blackstone Gallery, 901 South Broadway, Nicole Murphy (Model, mother, designer, Ex-wife of Eddie Murphy & soon to be reality star) hosts one of the most beautifully curated exhibitions, “Art, Libations & Sounds”, from one of Los Angeles’ most innovate and progressive artist, Maxwell Dickson
Maxwell Dickson’s contemporary approach to art is a smorgasbord of influences, movements & eras. Realism, abstract, constructivism, street & more, are all referenced elements that often embrace a Dickson canvas. “Supporting Los Angeles’ young art community is a must” says Murphy. “I’m excited to be hosting this exhibition with such an eclectic body of work”. Reality stars Gene Simons & Shannon Tweed just tapped Dickson for a custom piece, R&B songtress Teyanna Taylor owns 3 of Dickson’s works, and Nicole will soon be housing 3 commissioned Dickson pieces.
Dickson’s exhibition will start with a private VIP reception from 7pm to 8pm & then open to a mob of Dickson followers from 8pm to 11pm.
