Paris Photo 2011 Live Platform

The Paris Photo Platform is exploring different aspects of these changes and their links to the medium. 10–13 November 2011.

Four days on Geography, Technology, Society / Media, and Body.

For its 15th edition, Paris Photo invites you to:
• A daily noontime encounter with a special guest hosted by Chantal Pontbriand
(Noontime Encounters)
• Round-table discussions with artists, critics, curators, collectors
• Interviews with artists (Artists’ Views) and Book Signings
• Performances linked to photography

Most of the Platform events are held in the Rotonde de la Reine, Grand Palais.

Borrowing on the idea of the lecture, Tim Etchells presents a performative talk about two of his projects, which are collections of the photographs of dance and bodily movement and empty stages he has come across.

20:00 Encounter with Mr PIPPIN
About his performance Photographicus Philosophicus, realized for Paris Photo 2011 and the Mutations Platform.
Often acted out in the absence of the public, Mr Pippin’s performances explore experiments that produce unique photographs with unusual means and question photography itself.
