Monnaie de Paris presents Rob Pruitt’s Flea Market

LeonidesArts New York Gallery along with the No Estamos Solas Gallery, Buenos Aires, Argentina: will open their gallery in midtown Manhattan, New York City.

Mr. Mark D. Hurewitz, General Manager, Skyline Hotel and Mr. Leonides Molinar, Owner, LeonidesArts New York Gallery together have come up with the idea of converting this westside Manhattan hotel into a destination for contemporary art lovers since the art scene is expanding from Chelsea into midtown Hells Kitchen where a nascent art scene has always existed among the garment center lofts, car showrooms, the shipping piers, the Broadway theaters and commercial warehouses. It is a dynamic, rough and “hungry” area for artists of all disciplines. The exhibition features Terrence Benjamin, Ricardo Francis, Rafael Colon Morales, Hans Feyerabend Juan Kurtzman, Arthur Rodrigues, Zilka Rosa, Shakespear, Mark Stewart, Mark Vinsun, John W.F. Walcott; No Estamos Solas Gallery, Buenos Aires, Argentina (select artists) Candela Casado Sastre, Alejandro Da silva Farias, Mariana Guerrero, Carlos Killian, Levan Mindiashvili, Zelmira Peralta Ramos, Marta Rodriguez Salimei, Cristian Tonhaiser.

Sublime horizons, intense colors. inteligent sculptures, stitched from the artists conscious awaits the viewer in this show that wonders aloud, what gives art “edge”? The gallery will host an opening from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on April 21st 2010.
