Menaul Fine Art Accepted As Case Study by Rollins MBA Program

Menaul Fine Art (http://www.menaul-art.com) wanted to expand their international distribution of abstract art by Scott J Menaul. Rollins, Florida’s most prestigious executive MBA program, (http://www.crummer.rollins.edu/) was looking for an international marketing case study. The two met and Rollins accepted Menaul Fine Art for the INTL 602 International Marketing Project 2008.

Mary Conway Dato-on, PhD and Associate Professor of International Business at Rollins College, located in Winter Park, Fl, initiated the process of using Menaul Fine Art as a case study for one of her CMBA classes. Each student comes to the Rollins CMBA program with 10 years of business experience and is assigned to work with a group as they progress through their studies.

Menaul Fine Art features the abstract art of Scott J. Menaul (http://www.menaul-art.com/about.html) who spent 25 years as a commercial photographer and graphic designer and an additional 12 years working with his medium, has given the group a unique product for their work. Menaul says “I was never quite satisfied with the results of my tools, feeling more could be achieved with them. So I experimented and developed more techniques until I achieved the results you now see in gicl e canvases and paper gicl es. And I continue to push the envelope with my tools to create the art of the future today. Working with the Rollins MBA program to increase the exposure of my work internationally has been a wonderful and educational experience.”

To further aid the class, Menaul Fine Art Gallery co-owner, Jerri Menaul, took two canvas gicl es to Rollins to hang in the classroom throughout the semester while the group worked on the project. Menaul’s work is described as very rich with amazing play of light and depth of color. The pieces are almost indistinguishable from oil paintings, except for the crisp detail and subtle graduations of color.

One student, Gigi Fernandez, former professional Puerto Rico/American tennis player and Olympic Gold Medal winner, explains her reaction to Menaul’s art, “As a Rollins MBA Student, I was exposed to Menaul Art as part of our International Marketing curriculum. I decided to purchase their art for my medically supervised weight loss clinic, Weight Design, which is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I like the flexibility in the design process and their ability to customize colors to match our brand colors. My experience working with Scott and Jerri [Menaul] was exceptional. The whole process was extremely professional and highly service oriented.”

“It was a win – win.” said Mary Conway Dato-on PhD. The Menaul’s couldn’t agree more and in appreciation for the work done by the class they donated a limited edition gicl e titled “Three Forms” to the college.

The Rollins MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business, located in Winter Park, Florida, is consistently ranked a top MBA program by Forbes magazine and BusinessWeek, and a top-25 school for entrepreneurial studies from Entrepreneur magazine and the Princeton Review. It is among a select group of business schools in the nation that have been accredited at the graduate level and is distinguished by its faculty and the academic and business successes of its graduates.

The Menaul Fine Art Gallery (http://www.menaul-art.com) features the freshest and newest artwork today by abstract artist Scott J. Menaul. It is a modern, contemporary abstract art collection for residential or corporate interiors. They offer both limited edition gicl e canvases and paper gicl es that also work well in hospitality and healthcare settings.
