WorthPoint Unveils New Consignment and Brokering Service for Art, Antiques and Collectibles

Published 27 June 2008

ATLANTA – WorthPoint Corporation today unveiled a new service that will help its members determine the value of the art, antiques and collectibles they own and walk them through the evaluation and sales process.

With the WorthPoint Consignment and Brokerage Service, WorthPoint members can find out what their treasured items are worth and sell them through a reputable auction house or to a private buyer. Items must be evaluated at $2,500 or more to qualify for this service.

“The Consignment and Brokerage Service is just one more way that WorthPoint can help people make money in these uncertain economic times,” says Will Seippel, Founder and CEO of WorthPoint. “Times are tough and our goal is to help owners of collectibles determine the value, and the proper venue to monetize their assets with the most useful tools on the Internet. People who work with WorthPoint can realize the full value of their unique collectibles and antiques.”

WorthPoint offers collectors, buyers, sellers and dealers an ideal environment in which to share their passion and increase their knowledge. Hundreds of thousands of collectors visit the WorthPoint site (www.worthpoint.com) each month to take advantage of its powerful tools, helpful content and supportive community.

WorthPoint’s expert Worthologists will guide WorthPoint brokerage customers through every step of the auction process, including:

Determining an item’s likely value at auction;
Helping members choose the best auction house, or private buyer, for their needs;
