Associates debuts in New York at Phillips de Pury & Company

NEW YORK, NY – Phillips de Pury & Company is proud to debut Associates, a non-profit gallery initiative featuring works by cutting-edge contemporary artists. Associates, a non-profit gallery in London’s East End, was a critically acclaimed endeavor begun by artist Ryan Gander and co-directed by Rebecca May Marston. Run from September 2006 — October 2007, Associates was a one-year project of twelve monthly solo exhibitions by artists who largely had not previously had a solo show in London. The gallery was designed as non-profit and for solo exhibitions in order to commit to the individual development of the artists, offering them 100% of their sales profits.

Associates in New York, curated by Paola Clerico, will be a group show of twelve solo shows of new work by the artists and marks the first time all the artists have exhibited together. The following artists will be shown: Ben Cain, Stella Capes, Alice Channer, Lucy Clout, Kim Coleman & Jenny Hogarth, Sean Edwards,
