JEWELERY COMPETITION $1,000 PRIZE MONEY

This jewelery award will become an annual Award for the best jewelery design using Solid Natural Opal combined with any Natural Gemstone.

Entrants are to design a piece that will incorporate two stones that harmonize and compliment each other in a jewelery design

This competition is open for both professionals and non professionals.

The winner will be picked by Public vote and announced on 1st October 2008, October being the Birthstone month for Opal.

Entry Conditions -.

To become an entrant in this design you must be registered on both
http://www.OpalAuctions.com and http://www.Gemrockauctions.com

The jewellery piece must include at least ONE or more item from each of our auction websites and also include the auction item id of the piece.

Jewelery design must consist of minimum one gemstone and one opal.
Cluster designs of several opals or gemstones are allowed.

Designs are to have images uploaded on our forum with all information and a detailed description of the piece.

As an Entrant you must inform us upon entry
You must clearly state if you are a professional or non professional
You will need to include information on materials used such as Gold or Silver.
Any Opal or Gemstone used can be reshaped or polished.
If treated, the Gemstone treatment must be listed in the entry description
The recommended retail price is a mandatory inclusion in the description and details of your entry.
You must also provide a link back to the auction item id of the gemstone and opal included in the piece.

To enter as a Professional, entrants must be existing entities in jewelery Industry.

Entry as a Non-professional is for entrants who don’t make a majority income from the Jewelery Industry or for those new to the industry.

There will be only one category for all entrants.

Staff of Opal Plus or Sellers on either Opalauctions.com or Gemrockauctions.com will not be permitted to enter this competition.

Voting will be held on our public forum.

Only one vote per email address will be permitted.

Voting will commence on the 1st August 2008 and all entries must be listed by this date.

Winner will be announced on the 1st of October 2008 votes after this date will not be taken into account.

The decision will be final and no discussions will be entered into.
